Key Components in Reopening Live GNBC Worship Services

Dear Good News Bible Church Family:

Greetings in the mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I am sending you this email today so as to inform you of the actions the board of elders of Good News Bible Church have taken so as to attempt to reopen the building for worship on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at 10:45 am. Before we reopen the building for worship we must establish a few basic guidelines. We will ask that all individuals sanitize their hands upon entering the building. Hand sanitizer will be made available. We also ask that due to seating restrictions, that you sit as a family unit. We will be honoring the CDC’s recommendations for social distancing in our seating. We ask that no one comes to the service who is demonstrating a fever or any other potential Covid 19 symptoms. Please be patient with and demonstrate an extra measure of grace to one another during this time.

1. School of Christian Living and Sunday School: Classes will continue to meet remotely on Zoom through June 14^th, 2020. We encourage these classes to meet at 5:00 pm. The YouTube lesson for children will continue online through June 14^th, 2020.  The elders will reassess the situation after June 14^th so as to determine if remote classes will continue or if these classes can return to the building.
2. Seating: We will be setting up the sanctuary to accommodate worship and social distancing. We presently have an engineer working on restructuring the sanctuary so as to give the appropriate amount of social distancing (6ft) for a large group meeting. Families will be encouraged to sit in family units. The amount of seats available in the sanctuary will be fewer than normal. There will be extra seating available in the narthex, and library. After June 14^th we will reassess the situation.
3. Nursery and Children’s Church: During this time we will not be providing a staffed nursery. There will be no children’s church offered during the service during this time. After June 14^th, the elders will meet to reassess the situation.
4. Face Book Live/YouTube: Presently Pastor Richard is working to update key technology so as to be able to offer an online service opportunity for those not feeling comfortable with coming to the church building during this time. We value every member of the congregation and want each one to feel a part of the worship at Good News Bible Church. Absolutely no one should come to the church building for worship who does not feel comfortable in doing this.
5. Worship Team: Social distancing will be enforced among the worship team. No instruments with mouthpieces will be used through June 14^th so as to reduce potential transmission of Covid 19.
6. Tithes and offering: Boxes will be placed in the back of the sanctuary and narthex. People may give as they leave. This will minimize any potential contact contamination. Tellers will count the offering using gloves.
7. Communion: Communion will be served in individually sealed (cup and wafer prepackaged) elements.
8. We will encourage people to leave fairly quickly following the meeting.
9. Masks will be available at the service for use. You may bring your own.
